Professor Götz, Foundation Chair Dementia Research and Director Clem Jones Centre for Ageing Dementia Research at Queensland Brain Institute, University of Queensland, will reflect on the history of dementia research and provide an update on his own work and current research.
The Veronicas, Lisa and Jessica Origliasso, and Dementia Advocates will share their lived experiences of dementia and why it is important to become a Dementia Friend.
Dementia Awareness Month is Dementia Australia’s national awareness-raising campaign held every year throughout September. This year’s theme is Small actions Big difference. The 2018 theme highlights the small actions people can take to create a big difference for people living with dementia, their families and carers.
You are encouraged to pledge your support by becoming a Dementia Friend. Through the Dementia Friends program, we aim to transform the way we, as a community, think, act and talk about dementia.
