Taipei City Government and Taipei City Hospital launch this exhibition called “Embracing Reality” for the public in Taiwan during the World Alzheimer's Month on 13-14th September 2019.

Four themes will be presented at this exhibition, aiming to raise public awareness and to concern the care burdens toward dementia. Participants will gain knowledge about delaying deterioration, learn strategies of risk reduction, understand the Mediterranean diet and nutrition supplement, non- pharmacological treatments and safety prevention to maintain the best quality of life for dementia.

In addition, interesting and free DIY activities will be provided in the afternoon, as well as short speeches for visitors to acquire caring information about dementia. Particularly, participants will also get their printed-out photos to memorize the joyful time spent together in our exhibition.

When the public understands the irreversible disease better and offers support with concerns and respect, that the dementia-friendly community will be achieved in reality, leading the patients with dementia to have a better quality of life and embrace more precious memories with their family.
