Zimbabwe - Memory Walk

Join ZARDA (Zimbabwe Alzheimer's & Related Disorders Association) on the annual Memory Walk, which will be raising dementia awareness in our communities. The walk will start at the Catholic Cathedral on 4th Street and end at the Africa Unity Square. This year, ZARDA is expecting 200 people to attend.

Zambia - Dementia Awareness Walk and ADDIZ Launch

This is a landmark event to raise awareness of dementia and advocate for people living with dementia and their carers, as well as celebrate the launch of Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias In Zambia (ADDIZ).

The walk will last 1 hour, starting and finishing at the District Commissioner’s Offices, via the Central business town. Speeches and activities will follow for 2 hours.

The aim of the planned Healthy Ageing camp is to promote healthy living so as to reduce the risk of getting diseases that increase the risk of getting dementia like diabetes, hypertension, stroke, alcoholism, HIV/AIDS and advertising psycho-social and non-pharmacological ways of slowing memory and cognitive decline and among dementia patients, by using patients public involvement (PPI) in awareness and promotion in Tanzania through radio and TV stations.
